- Place the kunafah in a large bowl, seperate
the strands then melt the butter
and pour it
over the pastry.
- Mix the sugar, current, cocanut and vanilla
- Grease a baking tray, spread over half the
pastry, cover with the mixture, then
top it
with the remaining of the pastry.
- Compress the layers by hand
- Cook for 30-45 minutes in a hot oven,
180°C / 375°F / Gas 5
- Once cooled, divid into shapes of your
choice, such as squares, oblongs.
Serve hot or cold, adding milk, syrup or
sugar.
